Switching from Photoshop to GIMP might feel like a big move. Everything is suddenly in the wrong place, and the UI could feel alien. This is exactly where PhotoGIMP comes in. PhotoGIMP is a free, community-driven patch for GIMP 3.0 and newer that reshapes the open-source image editor into something much more familiar for Photoshop users. It doesn’t turn GIMP into Adobe Photoshop. The patch just shakes up the layout, shortcuts, and app identity to match Photoshop, so that new users don’t feel lost on day one. Why PhotoGIMP is great for new users The biggest appeal is the interface.…
This 100W INIU Cougar P63 Could Replace Your Bulky Charger for Travel, Work, and Gaming
The modern office rarely stays in one place anymore. For on-the-go hybrid workers, like me, mornings begin at a coffee shop, random afternoons could be spent navigating airport lounges, and unexpected evenings often end with answering stacks of emails or catching up on unfinished work from a hotel room. It’s hectic and simultaneously liberating, but I have also noticed that the more portable our devices become, the more frustrating battery anxiety feels. Nothing breaks momentum faster than watching the battery icon flash red while chasing deadlines. This is why the INIU Cougar P63 feels less like a backup accessory and…
Google is preparing to kick off its annual developer conference, Google I/O 2026, and this year’s event is shaping up to be heavily focused on artificial intelligence, Android 17, and the future of Google’s ecosystem. The conference begins on May 19 at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California, with CEO Sundar Pichai expected to lead the keynote presentation. The event will be livestreamed globally through Google’s official I/O website and YouTube channels. While Google I/O has traditionally focused on developers, this year’s announcements are expected to directly affect everyday users across Android phones, Search, Chrome, Workspace, and smart devices.…
Apple Watches already have hypertension notifications, but the Cupertino giant may be working on another blood pressure-related feature that goes further than the alert system available today. According to Digitimes, Apple has a new high blood pressure notification feature under review by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. That wording is a little tricky because Apple already released hypertension notifications in September 2025 with watchOS 26. The feature works on Apple Watch Series 9 and later, and Apple Watch Ultra 2 and Watch Ultra 3, in supported regions. How would blood pressure alerts work? It is not clear yet how…
AI can now answer questions so quickly that the search itself can feel optional. That convenience worries the Royal Observatory Greenwich, which has warned that instant AI answers can weaken the curiosity, scrutiny, and source-checking behind real knowledge. The risk hides inside the usefulness. Chatbots can help people test ideas, move faster, and find new angles, but a finished response can also cut users off from the messy trail that makes learning stick. When that happens, information arrives without the struggle that turns it into judgment. How much thinking should AI do for us The Royal Observatory’s argument carries weight…
Microsoft is retiring the Together Mode in Teams in favor of something cleaner and simpler
Microsoft Teams is retiring one of its more recognizable meeting features, and it might be for the best. The company announced that Together Mode is going away in Teams as Microsoft is shooting towards a simpler set of meeting layouts. To recall, Together Mode was introduced during the pandemic-era video call boom, placing participants inside shared virtual environments such as auditoriums or classrooms. It was a cute idea at the time, but it never became the everyday meeting view for most people. Why Together Mode is being removed In the official announcement, Microsoft stated that the change is part of…
Right now, almost every major AI chatbot follows the same playbook: hook people with a surprisingly capable free tier, then gently nudge them toward a subscription once they start relying on it too much. And honestly, for most users, the free versions are already good enough. You can ask questions, generate images, summarize documents, and even brainstorm ideas without constantly hitting a paywall. That is why a newly spotted change inside Google’s Gemini app feels particularly interesting. A user on X has shared a screenshot suggesting Google may be testing stricter usage tracking and possible weekly limits inside Gemini. The…
Apple is preparing a major expansion of its AI features for iPhones and iPads with iOS 27 and iPadOS 27, according to a new report from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. The update is expected to bring AI-powered writing assistance, natural-language app shortcuts, smarter Siri integrations, and even AI-generated wallpapers as Apple tries to catch up with rivals like Google and Samsung in consumer AI features. The upcoming features are expected to be unveiled at Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in June ahead of a public release later this year. Apple wants AI to feel more built into everyday iPhone use According…
Sony is raising PlayStation Plus prices for new customers from May 20, adding another cost increase to an already pricey console generation. The change applies in select regions and affects the shorter subscription options. According to PlayStation’s official post, one-month plans will start at $10.99, €9.99, or £7.99, while three-month plans will start at $27.99, €27.99, or £21.99. Current subscribers are mostly protected for now. Sony says the new pricing will not apply to existing members unless they change their plan or allow the subscription to lapse. However, subscribers in Turkey and India may also see the change. Starting May…
Over the last few years, Sony gradually got PC gamers used to the idea that most major PlayStation exclusives would eventually land on Steam. Games like God of War, Spider-Man, Horizon, Ghost of Tsushima, and The Last of Us all made the jump sooner or later. But earlier this year, reports suggested that Sony was planning to stop releasing future single-player PlayStation titles on PC and keep them locked to PS5 instead. Now, it looks like those fears are finally becoming reality. Sony reportedly wants PlayStation exclusives to stay exclusive again Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier, who originally reported this story back…
