Apple is expected to launch redesigned MacBook Pro laptops later this year, and these are expected to bring a massive overhaul in terms of looks and innards. The biggest change is going to be a touch-sensitive panel, one with OLED tech underneath instead of mini-LED panels that you get on the current crop of Pro laptops by Apple. But it seems the pill-shaped cutout from the iPhones — officially known as the Dynamic Island — will also appear on these laptops, as per Bloomberg. What’s the big shift? “The company’s initial touch Macs, due this fall, will have the Dynamic…
Discord is officially hitting the brakes on its global age-verification rollout after weeks of confusion and backlash from users. In a new blog post, the company admitted it “missed the mark” in explaining its plans and confirmed that the worldwide launch has now been pushed to the second half of 2026. The announcement follows growing concern around facial scans, ID checks, and third-party vendors that would handle the verification process. Discord says many users walked away believing the platform would require face scans or government ID from everyone, which it insists was never the plan. According to the company, the…
You might think holding playtests or server slams or betas or whatever technical term you want to call “a chance to play a game before it’s officially out” for multiple games in the same weekend is a strange idea… I agree, but that’s exactly what PlayStation is doing this weekend with two of its upcoming first-party games. Specifically, Bungie is launching a server slam this weekend for Marathon, starting at 10 a.m. PT on Thursday, February 26, and ending on Monday, March 2, at 10 a.m. PT, while Guerrilla Games is holding a closed playtest for Horizon Hunters Gathering starting…

Blizzard says the game is being built from the ground up for mobile, with controls, pacing, and match length designed specifically for iOS and Android devices. A mobile-first take on Overwatch heroes Overwatch Rush…
With the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked February event just a day away, leaks are flowing like an untamed river. An early build of One UI 9 has almost confirmed the addition of a new design in the Samsung Galaxy fold lineup. Joining the Galaxy Fold and Flip is a new, wider Galaxy Fold, which will feature a passport-style design, providing users with a better tablet experience when the device is unfolded. Now, the folks at Android Authority have spotted a new feature inside the builds of One UI 9 code. Dubbed the Foreign Material Detection, this feature aims to prevent users…
Midgard continues to fill up with characters for Amazon’s upcoming live-action God of War TV series. Deadline has reported that Ed Skrein, who you might recognize as Deadpool (2016) villain Ajax, will play Baldur, the youngest son of Odin, in the show. Skrein, whose other credits include Jurassic Park: Rebirth, Rebel Moon, Game of Thrones, and Alita: Battle Angel, will go fist-to-fist with Ryan Hurst’s Kratos in this God of War series, if it sticks closely to 2018’s God of War. The game practically opens with the earth-shattering fight between the two gods, and Baldur continues to be a recurring antagonist…
Lamborghini is done with the Lanzador. The all-electric supercar the Italian automaker showed off back in 2023 — the one that was supposed to drag the brand, kicking and screaming, into the EV era — was quietly axed late last year (via The Times). CEO Stephan Winkelmann confirmed it this week, and frankly, he didn’t sound too broken up about it. The reason? Winkelmann put it bluntly: EV development was becoming “an expensive hobby.” EV dream runs out of charge And when your hobby involves billion-dollar research and development budgets, along with a customer base that basically doesn’t want the…

Bungie is taking a hard stance against cheaters in its upcoming multiplayer shooter Marathon. In a blog post outlining the game’s networking and security systems, the studio warned that anyone caught cheating will be permabanned from playing the game, with no second chances. Bungie says it has rebuilt Marathon’s security stack from the ground up in an effort to protect the integrity of those matches and make sure players’ success reflects skill, not exploits. Marathon’s security systems and cheating policy To make cheating harder, Marathon will run on authoritative dedicated servers that control key gameplay actions like combat, looting, and…
Thanks to the massive success of Insomniac’s Spider-Man games, its next project, Marvel’s Wolverine, is easily one of our highest-anticipated games of the year. Usually, every new piece of news about a game of this caliber would be closely guarded and revealed in grand fashion, but today’s release date was a straightforward social media post.
