The Blood of Dawnwalker, the new game from Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, co-director of Wither 3 and Cyberpunk, was recently on the cover of Game Informer. Brian Shea saw the game’s early hours, but this was my chance to play it and make different choices. My time with The Blood of Dawnwalker begins idyllically, with protagonist Coen and his family preparing supper atop a hill. But as the sun sets, that peace quickly fades when his sister, Kunka, runs off into the woods. Coen goes after his sister, Kunka, and when he catches up, she reveals she’s been turned into a vampire before betraying Coen…
The FIFA World Cup 2026™ is unfolding across the United States, Canada, and Mexico, and Hisense RGB MiniLED display technology has emerged as one of the competition’s most visible and consequential innovations. As the official sponsor of the tournament and the Official VAR Review TV Provider, Hisense has deployed its flagship technology across every level of the tournament, from the heart of global broadcasting to the screens that help referees make history. The VAR Room: Where Technology Rewrites History Nowhere is Hisense RGB MiniLED’s impact more profound than in the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) Room, the tournament’s central media hub.…
In January, Lego revealed its first-ever official Pokémon set, and that has evidently proven popular, because it then announced 12 additional sets coming in August. That’s not enough, apparently, because five more sets have been revealed, featuring new Pokémon and trainers. The new sets launch either on August 1 or October 1, depending on the set, and are available for pre-order today at Lego’s website and the Pokémon Center. The sets will also launch at select retailers. Here are the details for each set, including their official descriptions and photo galleries:Lego Pokémon Munchlax “Lego Pokémon Munchlax recreates the adorable Normal-type Pokémon, Munchlax,…
A few days ago, we got our first proper look at what appears to be the iPhone 18 Pro in leaked drop-test footage from a Tata Electronics facility. The video showed an unreleased Pro iPhone in a controlled testing setup, and one thing stood out immediately. The device looked noticeably thicker than the current iPhone 17 Pro. Now, another leak is pointing in the same direction. According to Weibo leaker Fixed Focus Digital (via MacRumors), the iPhone 18 Pro models could be thicker than the current iPhone 17 Pro series. The leaker says Apple is sticking with an aluminum alloy…
Shopping on Amazon used to be simple. You searched for a product, compared a few familiar brands, and checked out. These days, it often feels like you’re scrolling through an endless parade of names that look like someone leaned on a keyboard before hitting publish. That’s exactly the problem Knockoff is trying to solve. Created by developer Josh Pigford, the Chrome extension doesn’t promise to expose counterfeit products or magically tell you what’s good. Instead, it tackles something arguably more annoying: the flood of unfamiliar, mass-produced brands that dominate Amazon search results. Goodbye, Alphabet soup The idea is refreshingly straightforward.…
IO Interactive has announced it has regained full ownership of its in-development online RPG Project Fantasy following its split from an external funding partner last week, which was later confirmed to be Xbox. The studio behind Hitman and 007 First Light will continue working on the project, but this shift means a reduction of its staff. The Copenhagen-based studio shared a message stating it will now fully fund Project Fantasy independently. However, IO writes that this shift means “we had to find a new balance for the long-term future of the studio, focused on the success of our main internal core…
Australia’s world-first teen social media ban was supposed to keep children under 16 away from popular platforms, including Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, YouTube, and X. While this was a major controversial change, it appears that getting around it was barely even a challenge. Researchers created 50 test accounts across nine of the ten platforms covered by the law. Each account claimed its user was 16, the minimum permitted age. None of the platforms asked the researchers to provide proof or complete another age-assurance check. Only the Australian livestreaming platform Kick refused to create an account without a proper age verification. Why…
When I sat down to play Orbitals at this year’s Summer Game Fest, it felt appropriate that we weren’t given Herman Millers or high-backed “gamer chairs,” but bean bags. There, on the carpeted floor of an improvised living room, complete with a bunk bed and an old-fashioned entertainment console, my co-op partner and I watched the start of Orbitals as if it were the opening sequence of our favorite Saturday-morning anime. After a gorgeous, intriguing cutscene, we’re dropped into life aboard a floating ship, out in the stars. The new co-op puzzle-adventure from Shapefarm and Kepler Interactive might feel strangely familiar,…
Apple’s first iPhone Air made one thing abundantly clear: people love impossibly thin phones — right until they start worrying about battery life. That trade-off has followed almost every ultra-slim smartphone, and it looks like Apple doesn’t want history repeating itself. A little battery goes a long way A new leak from well-known tipster Digital Chat Station suggests the second-generation iPhone Air, expected in spring 2027, could feature a 3,500mAh battery. That’s roughly an 11% bump over the current model’s 3,149mAh cell. On paper, it isn’t a dramatic jump. But battery life has never been about capacity alone, especially on iPhones.…
Virtual taekwondo sounds like a gimmick until it solves the biggest fear of combat sports
Virtual taekwondo sounds ridiculous in the easiest way. Put on a headset, strap sensors to your body, kick at empty air, and call it a combat sport. Somewhere, Wii Sports is quietly stretching. Athletes are still kicking, reacting, and gasping through the work. The difference is that the hits land on avatars instead of bodies. That makes its Asian Games debut more than a novelty slot for VR. The format gives taekwondo a way to stay physically demanding without making contact the price of entry. Why no contact changes the game Traditional taekwondo has a clear appeal, but sparring also…
