Are you tired of paying for streaming services you never watch just to get a phone plan feature you actually want? T-Mobile has good news for you! The carrier is rolling out new plans, called T-Mix, in early November to replace its old Experience lineup with a build-your-own perks system called Picks.
The benefits you choose vary from streaming and gaming to food delivery, AI, satellite service, and phone discounts. But if you are satisfied with your existing plan, you can keep it.
What do T-Mobile’s T-Mix plans cost, and which perks can you choose?
T-Mix comes in three tiers: Standard, More, and Loaded. Standard costs $55 a month for one line and includes one Pick. More costs $75 and includes two Picks. Loaded costs $95 and includes three Picks, all priced with AutoPay and before taxes and fees.
Each T-Mix plan comes with a fixed number of Picks, which works like currency you can spend on perks instead of getting stuck with a prepackaged set. You can spend Picks on things like Netflix, Hulu, ESPN Unlimited, Xbox Game Pass, Apple Music, Google Gemini, DoorDash’s DashPass, or even a new phone.
You should also know that pricier perks cost more Picks. For example, Netflix Premium and ESPN Unlimited run four Picks each, while basic options like ad-supported Netflix or DashPass cost only one.
What you should know before switching plans
Your plan and number of lines determine how many Picks you get. Unused Picks won’t reduce your bill, and you can’t buy extras without upgrading. As you add lines to your account, your total Pick pool grows too, but those Picks are shared across the whole account rather than assigned separately to each line.
Therefore, a Standard plan with one line gets one Pick. Meanwhile, a Loaded plan with four lines gets 11 Picks to spend however the account holder wants. Picks reset every 90 days, with one bonus annual window, so you can swap perks as your needs change. Switching outside that window costs a fee, estimated between $10 and $15.
Since phones and perks draw from the same pool, families upgrading several lines at once could run short fast, especially with T-Mobile dropping its free third line. Nevertheless, T-Mix can help you avoid paying for bundles you don’t use, but you’ll need to choose carefully.
