Motorola’s Signature 27 finally has a launch date. The company has confirmed November 5 for its next flagship, which pairs a 200MP periscope zoom camera with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chip.
The phone first appeared at September’s Snapdragon Summit. The latest teaser puts a firm date on the second-generation Signature after Motorola previously promised a worldwide release before the end of 2026.
What does the camera setup offer
Alongside the periscope camera, Motorola has confirmed a 50MP Sony LYTIA 910 main sensor. It hasn’t detailed the complete camera lineup yet, leaving some of that oversized rear housing unexplained.
For video, Motorola says its 3.5-degree optical image stabilization hardware works with Qualcomm’s stabilization technology to steady handheld footage. Its AI-powered Video Enhancement Engine adjusts color tones by analyzing scenes before and during recording.
A high megapixel count won’t settle the camera question. We’ll need testing to judge how much detail the zoom preserves and whether images look consistent when switching between cameras, especially in poor light.
What else is Motorola promising
Motorola’s ArcticMesh cooling system includes liquid metal and a redesigned vapor chamber that’s 40% larger than its predecessor’s. The company says it helps manage heat during sustained gaming and video use.
The Signature 27 also introduces Audio by Bang & Olufsen to Motorola’s phones. How that partnership translates into sound quality needs a listen rather than a logo check.
For buyers planning to keep the phone longer, Motorola promises seven OS upgrades and up to seven years of security updates from the global launch. Check the commitment for your specific model and market, since coverage also varies by carrier.
When can you actually buy one
Motorola’s US teaser page is live and accepting registrations for updates, but it doesn’t list a price or purchase date. The worldwide launch plan doesn’t establish when sales start in each market, either.
