Google Pixel 10 series could make its debut in August this year, according to a report. Although the Mountain View-based tech giant generally launches its flagship phones in October, it introduced the Pixel 9 phones earlier than usual last year, and now the Pixel 10 series could follow suit. In another development, a prototype of one of the handsets in the Pixel 10 lineup has allegedly surfaced on an instant messaging platform suggesting several of its key specifications.
Google Pixel 10 Launch Date, Key Specifications
Android Headlines reports that Google will hold its annual Made by Google event on August 20 this year where it will likely showcase the purported Pixel 10 series. The phones will reportedly be made available for pre-order on the same date. Pixel 10 buyers are said to receive the pre-ordered units starting August 28, along with the commencement of in-store availability.
This means that the Mountain View-based tech giant is planning to launch the Pixel 10 series a week later this year compared to the Pixel 9. Google’s current flagships debuted on August 13, 2024.
Meanwhile, a prototype of the Google Pixel 10 Pro has also surfaced on Telegram suggesting key specifications. As expected, the phone appears to be powered by the Tensor G5 chipset which is stated to have a 5nm architecture, somewhat incorrectly since it is widely believed to be fabricated using TSMC’s 3nm node. The purported handset is listed with the codename “blazer” and the model “DVT1.0”.

The Tensor G5 used by the Pixel 10 Pro allegedly comprises one Cortex-X4 core, two Cortex-A725 cores, three Cortex-A725 cores, and two Cortex-A520 cores. The SoC is said to be complemented by 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, although higher storage variants may also be offered. The leak also suggests that the purported handset could come with a display having a 2,410 x ,1080 pixels resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.
More details are likely to surface as we near the Pixel 10 series launch.
