Google AI Plus is live in the US, here’s what you get

Google AI Plus is now available in the US, part of a rollout to 35 new countries and territories. It’s live now.

In the US, the plan costs $7.99 per month, and new subscribers get 50% off for the first two months for a limited time. Google says pricing varies by country elsewhere, so you’ll see your local rate during sign-up.

Google AI Plus bundles access to Gemini 3 Pro and Nano Banana Pro in the Gemini app, plus AI tools in Flow and NotebookLM. You also get 200GB of storage you can share with up to five family members.

What you actually get

Think of this as two bundles in one, model access plus everyday utilities. The Gemini side is the main draw, with paid access to Gemini 3 Pro and Nano Banana Pro in the Gemini app. Simple.

The other half is about what you can do with it. Google calls out Flow for AI filmmaking tools and NotebookLM for research and writing help, so the plan isn’t just a chat upgrade.

The storage benefit matters too. That 200GB can be shared with up to five family members, which pushes the value beyond one person’s usage.

Why this rollout matters

This expansion makes the subscription available in more places at the same time, including the US. If you’ve wanted a paid step up without jumping to a higher tier, Google AI Plus is now the obvious entry point.

It also changes things for some people who already pay Google for storage. Google says Google One Premium 2TB subscribers in the newly added countries and territories will get Google AI Plus benefits automatically in the next few days. That’s a real shift.

There’s one tradeoff, clarity. Google doesn’t include a market-by-market list of the 35 locations in the announcement, and local pricing requires a check at checkout.

What to do next

If you’re in the US, ask two questions. Will you use the stronger Gemini access, and will your household benefit from the extra 200GB?

If you’re outside the US, open the sign-up flow and confirm the local price and availability before you commit. And if you already have Google One Premium 2TB in a newly added market, keep an eye on your account over the next few days to see when the AI Plus perks switch on.
