Ghost of Yōtei, Sucker Punch’s follow-up to Ghost of Tsushima, is just around the corner, so it’s no surprise we got a new trailer at this year’s Gamescom Opening Night Live. What we didn’t expect, however, was the announcement that came at the trailer’s conclusion: Ghost of Yōtei is getting a Legends mode, just like its predecessor, as a free update next year.
Legends is a multiplayer mode that first appeared in Ghost of Tsushima, where players can fight alongside one another to take on battles based on Japanese mythology. According to the PS Blog, the Yōtei version of the game will include two-player story missions and four-player survival matches. It also includes demonic versions of the Yōtei Six as boss battles. PS Blog included the following images as teasers.
