Many things change — the seasons, the times, possibly war — but love stays the same. Exodus, the new sci-fi RPG from a group of veteran game makers at Archetype Entertainment, certainly knows that love can bloom in the far reaches of space; given the BioWare legacy feeding into the Austin studio, romance options seemed like a surefire bet.

For our cover story, Charles and I sat down with narrative director Drew Karpyshyn to talk about the romance options in Exodus. We discussed what kind of romances are available, how they might affect your playthrough, whether you could juggle a few at the same time, and even how time dilation — a key component of Exodus’ universe — factors into love.
