Anthropic has been quietly adding more features to Claude, and this weekend announced two features that integrate the AI assistant deeper into your workflow and across your devices.

What did Claude just connect to?

First up, Microsoft 365 integration is now live across every Claude plan, not just the premium tiers. The update could be of utmost importance for professional users, who can now link their Outlook, OneDrive, and SharePoint directly to their Claude workspace.

This way, you can pull emails, documents, and files directly into your chat with Claude without downloading them from the respective app and then uploading them. Even if you’re on the free plan, your inbox and file storage can now talk to Claude.

In my opinion, the move delivers a significant productivity boost to a much wider audience.

Is Claude taking over your Windows PC?

The second announcement is of interest to anyone who has been following Claude’s computer use feature. The feature, which lets the AI assistant open applications,s navigate browsers, fill spreadsheets, and handle desktop tasks on its own, is now available on Windows through both Claude Cowork and Claude Code Desktop.

In other words, Windows users can finally hand the wheel to Claude on their machine. Together, these two updates signal Anthropic’s clear push to make the AI assistant less of a fancy chatbot that restricts its most capable features behind a paywall and more of an active participant in your daily workflow.

Connecting to Microsoft’s operating system and operating directly on a Windows PC closes two of the most obvious gaps in Claude’s daily utility, and does so even for free users. These updates are part of the company’s relentless 2026 roadmap. We’ve already seen Claude Cowork launch in January this year, a plugin marketplace in February, and Memory go free for all users in March.
