Every Computex has its headline-grabbing announcements. There’s always a faster processor, a shinier graphics card, or a laptop that’s somehow even thinner than last year’s model. But after spending several days wandering the halls of Computex 2026, talking to engineers, trying products, and occasionally getting lost between exhibition booths, I came away with a very different takeaway. That said, this year’s show wasn’t really about individual products. Rather, it was about the direction the industry is heading. Instead of chasing flashy specifications for the sake of marketing slides, manufacturers finally seem focused on solving real problems. The MacBook Neo effect…
Gaming handhelds are great because they are portable (basically small). But that is also one of its biggest weaknesses. I was reminded of that while trying Asus’ new ROG Xbox Ally X20 bundle at Computex 2026. On its own, the Ally X20 is already a more polished version of the ROG Xbox Ally X. It arrives with nice updates that sound minor on paper but make a device feel more complete in your hands. The real surprise, though, was the bundled ROG XREAL R1 Edition 20 Gaming AR Glasses. I walked in to try the 20th anniversary edition of ASUS’…
I saw Nvidia RTX Spark in action, and Windows PCs may finally have their Apple Silicon Moment
Windows laptops have been chasing the gold that Apple struck years ago with its M-series chips. Back in 2020, Apple revealed a new lineup of MacBooks powered by silicon that seemed generations ahead in efficiency, integration, and even performance. It was a system that was built around the hardware instead of merely running on top of it. At Computex 2026, Nvidia RTX Spark looked like one of the most convincing responses that Windows has had in years. I got a tour of Nvidia’s showcase at the show, and Spark was easily one of the most interesting things I saw. During…
Apple barely talked about CarPlay at its WWDC 2026 keynote, giving most of the spotlight to Siri AI and the broader Apple Intelligence additions in iOS 27. But that doesn’t mean CarPlay is a no-show this year. The Cupertino giant buried most of the CarPlay updates in a developer-only video, and, as it turns out, there’s genuinely more here than you would have expected. As a CarPlay user myself, I’d say some of these features are long overdue, while others tag along with the broader iOS 27 redesign. So, without any further ado, let’s discuss everything new coming to your…
Every year, Computex promises the next big thing. Sometimes that means another processor with a few extra cores, a laptop that’s 200 grams lighter, or a monitor that’s somehow even faster than the one before it. But every now and then, a trade show surprises you not with a single product, but with an entire category that suddenly feels new again. That’s exactly how Computex 2026 felt to me. After spending days walking the show floor, trying products, talking to engineers, and inevitably getting lost between booths more times than I’d like to admit, one thing became crystal clear. The…
“Apple Intelligence 2.0” isn’t Apple’s official name, but it’s a useful shorthand for where the company is going. Apple calls it the next generation of Apple Intelligence, with Siri AI as the most visible piece. That’s a risky place to put the spotlight because Siri has baggage. For years, it’s been the assistant people use for timers, weather, and arguments with a glowing orb that somehow heard every word except the important one. The ideal version is Siri finding the flight code from an email while the airline hold music slowly removes the will to live. That’s the version Apple…
Every iOS update comes with a few headline features that grab all the attention. But for me, it’s usually the small, unglamorous changes that end up making the biggest difference in my day. iOS 27 is packed with these little wins, and after spending time with the iOS 27 beta, seven of them have already improved my day-to-day experience. Connectivity Assist keeps me online If you’ve ever watched a webpage stall while your iPhone stubbornly clings to a weak Wi-Fi signal, you’ll appreciate this one. Apple has added a new Connectivity Assist feature that lets your iPhone automatically switch to…
Computex is always chaotic, and Computex 2026 kept the same pace. This year’s show had the usual parade of powerful laptops, overbuilt gaming rigs, and the fun, if not strange, prototypes. AI was everywhere, handheld gaming got a serious power boost, and even monitor makers came ready with displays that sound like they were pulled from a wishlist. That’s why we’ve put together our Computex 2026 Publisher Awards, spotlighting the products that pushed the show forward. NVIDIA RTX Spark The most important announcement at Computex 2026 was NVIDIA RTX Spark. Yes, the AI PC label is starting to sound like…

Samsung’s next Galaxy Watch Ultra could bring the battery upgrade many users have been waiting for. The Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 is expected to launch in the coming weeks, and a new report suggests it may arrive with a much larger battery than the 2024 and 2025 models. According to SamMobile, the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 will use a battery with a rated capacity of 784mAh. Samsung could market this as an 800mAh typical capacity, which would make it around 35% larger than the 590mAh battery used in the current Galaxy Watch Ultra models. A bigger battery could push the…
