Samsung’s latest Galaxy S26 teaser hints at better camera zoom output, but I’m not impressed
In a series of short videos, Samsung has teased upgrades to the camera system on the upcoming Galaxy S26 series. Expected to debut at the Galaxy Unpacked event on February 25, 2026, the lineup should consist of the usual models. These include the vanilla Galaxy S26, the Galaxy S26 Plus with a triple-rear camera system, and the Galaxy S26 Ultra with a quad-camera setup on the back. What’s even more interesting (read disappointing) is that the handsets are expected to ship with no major camera hardware upgrades. Despite that, the company is teasing better low-light video performance and improved clarity…
I’m knee-deep into playing Nioh 3, and though the review embargo has lifted, I still need more time to complete this densely packed threequel. But after playing for a couple of dozen hours, I can confidently say I’m having a fun time slicing apart yokai in this time-hopping adventure. While the game remains a deliciously difficult action game, especially thanks to its new Ninja style, I’m arguably most impressed with its rewarding approach to exploration. One of Nioh 3’s big additions is the Ninja Style Shift, which effectively gives you a shinobi-flavored class that feels like controlling a wholly different character.…
After years of struggling, retreating, and re-emerging, Intel is once again entering the GPU market. The company plans to build GPUs at scale, a clear signal that it wants a serious seat at the tablet ruled by Nvidia and AMD. Intel’s CEO, Lip-Bu Tan, said that the company has hired a new chief architect to build graphics cards. “I just hired the chief GPU architect, and he’s very good,” Tan mentioned in a statement quoted by Reuters. Why Intel can’t afford to ignore GPUs anymore GPUs are no longer optional in the AI-driven industry, even for the most prominent players…
Pokémon To Celebrate 30th Anniversary With Super Bowl Commercial, Special Merch, TCG Collection, And More
The very first Pokémon games launched in Japan on February 27, 1996, meaning the series’ 30th Anniversary is this year. Ahead of an anticipated Pokémon Day stream later this month on February 27, The Pokémon Company International has announced that a yearlong campaign to celebrate the 30th Anniversary will begin this weekend with a Super Bowl LX commercial. The company released a quick teaser for the Super Bowl LX commercial on its YouTube channel today, showing an excited Jigglypuff sitting backstage on a couch, presumably waiting to perform the halftime show of her dreams. This commercial will be the “campaign debut”…
Nintendo has announced that it will host a Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase tomorrow, on Wednesday, February 5. It will air at 6 a.m. PT/9 a.m. ET on YouTube and the official Nintendo website. The company first revealed the news on its Nintendo Today app before announcing it on official social media channels. Nintendo says the Direct will feature “roughly 30 minutes of upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch games,” and considering it’s a third-party showcase, it’s unlikely we’ll see any big first-party reveals or updates. There are a lot of third-party games coming to Switch 2 this year like Pokémon Pokopia…
Waiting for memory prices to drop? Intel CEO says the shortage isn’t easing anytime soon
If you’ve been waiting for the global memory shortage to ease anytime this year and hardware prices to drop, Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan has some bad news. Speaking at a recent Cisco Systems conference, Tan said the crunch will likely last at least two more years. According to Bloomberg, Tan cited information from two key players in the memory space who reportedly told him, “There’s no relief until 2028.” The timeline aligns with recent comments from Micron’s Christopher Moore, VP of Marketing for its Mobile and Client Business Unit, who said tight supply conditions are likely to linger for the…
Laptops featuring Nvidia‘s ARM-based chips are a long time coming. Rumors about the devices have been circulating for well over a year, and a recent report suggested that the first machines could arrive as early as Q1 2026. However, a fresh leak indicates the wait may stretch longer than expected. The scoop from leaker Moore’s Law is Dead (via Notebookcheck) suggests the delay stems from unresolved software and compatibility issues affecting Nvidia’s chips. The situation is reportedly being further complicated by Microsoft’s slow progress in ensuring the Nvidia N1X platform works smoothly with Windows. As a result, the launch window…
Pouring cold water on Microsoft’s announcement about its next-generation Xbox, AMD’s CEO, Lisa Su, has hinted at the console’s expected launch timeline at the company’s latest earnings call. Su has clearly stated that the next-generation Xbox “is progressing well” to launch in 2027. The top executive also talked about an “AMD semi-custom SoC,” which could debut alongside the next-generation Xbox. AMD chief hints next-gen Xbox could arrive in 2027 “From a product standpoint, Valve is on track to begin shipping its AMD-powered Steam Machine early this year,” says Su. From what it looks like, AMD’s semi-custom SoC division is working…
Samsung’s wearable design division seems to have decided that subtlety is overrated and that functionality is what they’ll focus on for the next iteration of their flagship earbuds. But in doing so, the Galaxy Buds 4 and the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro might look awfully similar to their biggest competitors: Apple’s AirPods. Fresh renders of Samsung’s upcoming TWS earbuds (via Android Headlines) are giving AirPods users a brief moment of déjà vu. Both the Galaxy Buds 4 (black) and Buds 4 Pro (white) have a very familiar design. A new yet familiar design language I’m talking about a long stem…
Pop-out door handles may be on their way out as China cracks down on the controversial design
Cars with pop-out door handles have gone from futuristic novelty to near-default design over the past few years, especially as EV makers chased Tesla’s clean, minimalist look. They may look slick, but in the real world, they have caused plenty of frustration. From frozen handles in winter to doors that refuse to open when the battery dies, there have been multiple reports of drivers getting locked out and, more worryingly, passengers trapped inside after crashes. Now, Chinese regulators are stepping in to put an end to this trend. China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has announced new vehicle safety…
