Google Explains How Its Gemini Integration in Photos App Lets Users Find Photos With Prompts
Nearly a year after unveiling its Ask Photos feature at the I/O developer conference in May 2024, Google has finally shed some light on how the feature will work. It was introduced as an extension for Google Photos which allows the on-device Gemini artificial intelligence (AI) assistant to access a user’s images and answer queries about them. While the feature started shipping out in early access in September last year, the company has now confirmed the details about its availability and workings.Gemini-Powered Ask Photos Feature: How Does It Work?According to a new support document published by Google, the feature is…
Nintendo closed out its big Nintendo Switch 2 Direct this morning with the surprising announcement of a new platformer starring Donkey Kong. The game is called Donkey Kong Bananza and does not appear to be part of the Country series of games, though there were references to the beloved 2D platformer. Footage of the game showed a new design for Donkey Kong as he explored 3D environments. Donkey Kong runs and jumps, but he can also terraform the environment by ripping up big chunks of the ground and throwing it. According to Nintendo, the game apparently takes place in a…
Amazon is taking some inspiration from the TV shows available on its Prime Video streaming platform, and porting it over to Kindle e-readers to keep users up to date on their progress. The feature in question is called Recaps, and as the name suggests, it will offer readers a quick look at the story progress and character development arc so far. Think of it as the “Previously on” segment at the start of each new episode on a TV show, but in a text format, for digital books. The feature is already available for e-books in the English language for…

The creators of Elden Ring have revealed its next title, The Duskbloods. The upcoming multiplayer game will be exclusive to Switch 2. The reveal trailer follows From Software’s standard of using out-of-context clips, showcasing various characters such as a swordswoman wielding a ringblade and a rocket-powered flying robot. Scenes of a gothic castle complex and cathedral interiors create an oppressive atmosphere, and things take a turn for the bonkers with clips of a guy biting someone’s neck and draining them of a dark substance. A character is also seen transforming into a T-Rex-like monster. From Software describes The Duskbloods as…
The Start Menu has been the central element in Microsoft Windows for nearly three decades. Though loved initially for its resourcefulness, the Menu went through some debatable — I call them abhorrent — changes with Windows 8, but eventually returned to occupying less space in the interface with Windows 8.1, and then Windows 10 and 11. Despite the rescuing, it is still reeling under the damaging changes in the form of recommendations and random automatically populating lists that reduce it to a mere glorified search interface. However, Microsoft may now be looking to resolve these issues and bringing back a…

Drag x Drive is a new 3v3 competitive basketball game designed to take full advantage of the Switch 2’s mouse-like capabilities. As wheelchair-bound basketball players, movement involves dragging the Joy-Cons simultaneously to push yourself forward, simulating the movement of pushing a wheelchair. Flicking the controller performs shots, and players can even roll up skateboard-style half-pipes to perform fancy trick dunks. The game’s challenge comes in intuitively using both Joy-Cons at the same time to steer the characters and take it to the hoop. Check out the trailer below. Drag x Drive is coming to Switch 2 this summer.
Table of Contents Table of Contents Seven Seconds (2018) White Collar (2009-2014) Alias Grace (2017) As has been well documented since the dawn of the streaming era, the interfaces behind some of your favorite streaming services aren’t actually all that good. Netflix, for example, has tons of good shows, but unless its algorithm decides to surface them, you might struggle to find them. Thankfully, that’s where we come in. We’ve pulled together three great shows that you can watch this weekend, each of which might get a little buried by Netflix. Each of these shows strikes a different tone or…
In 2014, Nintendo partnered with Koei Tecmo for Hyrule Warriors, a Dynasty Warriors-inspired musou game in the Zelda franchise. Following the release of Breath of the Wild, Nintendo partnered with Koei Tecmo again for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, another Zelda musou game that took place before the events of Breath of the Wild, but was, disappointingly, not really canon. Today, Nintendo announced another prequel musou Zelda game with Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Imprisonment. To detail exactly when the game takes place in relation to Tears of the Kingdom would be a spoiler, but know that it will theoretically cover…
