The announcement was made by Google CEO Sundar Pichai during the company’s 2025 Q1 earnings call.Google Plans to Bring Gemini to More Devices in 2025According to a transcript of Pichai’s remarks during the earnings calls posted…
I finally found the perfect mechanical keyboard to go with my Mac, and it’s a lot cheaper
Table of Contents Table of Contents Oodles of charm, and substance to go with it It fills a lot of gaps Types like a smooth charm It’s an easy pick My experience with Apple’s Magic Keyboard for the Mac has been a love-hate situation, at best. It is slim, sleek, offers a fantastic scissor-switch, and serves the Touch ID convenience. What’s not to love? Well, for starters, the asking price is a steep $200, which is too much for a non-mechanical keyboard. There is no backlight. It is not ergonomic. The looks, though understated, are bland. Merely months into splurging…
SpaceX has marked its 250th dedicated Starlink launch with a breathtaking photo showing its Falcon 9 rocket heading to orbit. The long-exposure image shows the rocket on its way to space, and also includes numerous star trails and bright lights along Florida’s Space Coast. The mission got underway on Sunday shortly after 10 p.m. ET from Cape Canaveral in Florida. The Falcon 9 was carrying 23 Starlink satellites, including 13 with direct-to-cell capabilities, to low-Earth orbit. The first dedicated Starlink launch took place in May 2019, deploying the initial batch of 60 operational satellites for the Starlink internet service. Since…

Oppo Find X8 Ultra or Galaxy S25 Ultra? Samsung wasn’t the first company to popularize the concept of a periscope telephoto lens on a smartphone, but its incredible marketing prowess has redefined what we expect from the best smartphone cameras. Since the Galaxy S20 Ultra, the term “Ultra” has been used to describe the best smartphone cameras a company…
Meta has tasted quite some unprecedented success with its camera-equipped smart glasses made in collaboration with Ray-Ban. They started off with social media capture as their key trick, but have now evolved into a vehicle for AI features. Now, Meta is reportedly eyeing next-gen smart glasses that add a display unit into the mix. Interestingly, they could arrive in the same window that is usually reserved for the launch of new iPhones and other Apple gear in the Fall season. Apple’s smart glasses project, on the other hand, is reportedly a few years behind the competition. “Meta Platforms Inc. has a…
This weekend, the Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith 20th anniversary re-release had a much stronger performance than expected with $25 million and a second-place finish behind Sinners. Revenge of the Sith was the culmination of plans by Chancellor Palpatine (Ian McDiarmid) that led to the fall of the Jedi and his own ascension to emperor. Because McDiarmid’s Emperor died in his first appearance — 1983’s Return of the Jedi — Revenge of the Sith was supposed to be his live-action swan song. However, Palpatine’s return in Star Wars: Episode IX — The Rise of Skywalker left McDiarmid being asked…
Amazon ready for debut Project Kuiper launch, but one thing could get in the way (again)
Amazon is champing at the bit to get its first Project Kuiper satellites into orbit so that it can start building a service that will one day rival SpaceX’s Starlink, which offers broadband connectivity to more than five million customers globally. The web giant is planning to launch 27 Project Kuiper internet satellites on a United Launch Alliance (ULA) Atlas V rocket from Cape Canaveral in Florida on Monday evening. The first Project Kuiper satellites were supposed to head to orbit on April 9, but unstable weather conditions forced the mission team to halt the countdown clock shortly before launch.…
Table of Contents Table of Contents Why Maccy? How does Maccy work? Minor, but meaningful conveniences Just the right dose of flexibility I recently found myself assisting my sister with a research project. Writing a science paper is a notoriously taxing process because it is excruciatingly drab to write one, but at the same time, you have to be meticulous with every single statement. Citations are a crucial element, and depending on the topic you have picked, you may have to sprinkle a few links in every line. In my case, my citation list had over 140 links, a healthy…
Table of Contents Table of Contents The key benefits of RTOS How Wear OS is better than RTOS The two competing implementations of RTOS Is RTOS the answer to Google’s Wear OS woes? Smartwatches are now over 25 years old, but just over a decade ago, Apple helped kickstart the current smartwatch industry with the launch of the original Apple Watch. From a focus on fitness to a selection of apps and whimsical watch faces, early smartwatches bore little resemblance to the current best smartwatches with which we’re now accustomed. The only problem with the Apple Watch is that it…
