Connections is one of the best puzzle games from the New York Times. The game tasks you with categorizing a pool of 16 words into four secret (for now) groups by figuring out how the words relate to each other. The puzzle resets every night at midnight and each new puzzle has a varying degree of difficulty. Just like Wordle, you can keep track of your winning streak and compare your scores with friends. Some days are trickier than others — just like other NYT Games favorites The Mini and Strands. If you’re having a little trouble solving today’s puzzle, check…
Strands is a brand new daily puzzle from the New York Times. A trickier take on the classic word search, you’ll need a keen eye to solve this puzzle. Like Wordle, Connections, and the Mini Crossword, Strands can be a bit difficult to solve some days. There’s no shame in needing a little help from time to time. If you’re stuck and need to know the answers to today’s Strands puzzle, check out the solved puzzle below. How to play Strands You start every Strands puzzle with the goal of finding the “theme words” hidden in the grid of letters.…
The New York Times has introduced the next title coming to its Games catalog following Wordle’s continued success — and it’s all about math. Digits has players adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing numbers. You can play its beta for free online right now. In Digits, players are presented with a target number that they need to match. Players are given six numbers and have the ability to add, subtract, multiply, or divide them to get as close to the target as they can. Not every number needs to be used, though, so this game should put your math skills to the…
The European Space Agency (ESA)’s planetary defense mission, Hera, has completed the first major maneuver of its journey following its launch in October. The spacecraft has burned its thrusters to put it on a course toward Mars, which it should reach to perform a gravity assist flyby in 2025. The mission is a follow-up to NASA’s DART mission, which deliberately crashed into an asteroid in 2022. DART was testing to see whether impacting a spacecraft into an asteroid could alter its trajectory, which it succeeded in doing. The idea is that if an asteroid should ever threaten Earth, space agencies…
While the summer’s biggest action movie, Deadpool & Wolverine, lands on Disney+ this month, the best action movies on Netflix still have plenty to offer if you’re not a Disney+ subscriber. If you’re an action junkie, Netflix is a great streamer to have in your repertoire because the company has invested heavily in its action collection over the past year. With so many choices, the collection can be a real doozy to navigate. Don’t worry, we’ve gone on that journey for you. This November, we added three movies to this list: The Scorpion King, The Lost City, and The Fast and the…
Scott Beck and Bryan Woods have tackled deadly aliens in A Quiet Place, vicious dinosaurs in 65, and the titular mythical creature in The Boogeyman. For their next act, the duo challenged themselves to scare audiences with words, not monsters, in Heretic, A24’s new thriller in theaters everywhere. Two Mormon missionaries, Sister Barnes (Sophie Thatcher) and Sister Paxton (Chloe East), knock on the door of Mr. Reed (Hugh Grant) and ask if they can speak to him about the Church of Jesus Christ. An excited Mr. Reed obliges and invites the girls inside for some conversation, learning, and a slice of…
We’re a society obsessed with numbers and data about our own bodies. Just look at the popularity of fitness trackers for proof. With the advent of smart rings, things have gotten even more impressive. The Oura Ring 4 and the Samsung Galaxy Ring are two of the main contenders in that field (and likely will remain so, unless Apple gets around to producing its own smart ring) — but there are some stark differences between the two gadgets. If you’re having trouble deciding which of them, if either, is worth your investment, we’ve broken down their differences right here. Oura Ring…
Although there’s been a dearth of new romance shows on Netflix this fall, one of the streamer’s biggest hits of the year is a romantic comedy: Nobody Wants This. Maybe that should tell Netflix something about what its fans want to see. Beyond that show, there’s really nothing new to report. Instead, we’ll just have to feature Ginny & Georgia, a romantic dramedy that follows a mother and daughter and their respective romances. That’s an older series, but it’s been renewed for two more seasons. Since there aren’t many new romance shows to dive into, you’ll just have to settle…
It looks like Lucasfilm may have accidentally revealed the long-awaited premiere date for Andor season 2, and on the Disney+ mobile app no less. Early Saturday morning, some eagle-eyed users noticed a new date attached to the bottom of the app’s Andor streaming tile. The date in question promises that Andor season 2 is coming April 22, 2025. It isn’t just possible but likely that this Disney+ update was made earlier than Lucasfilm planned. Not only was it added to the streaming service’s mobile app with no accompanying announcement or comment from Lucasfilm, but Disney is also in the midst of…
Once again, Peacock has reshuffled its movie lineup. Many of the films that were around in October are gone in November. It is honestly kind of annoying because we prefer the streamers to have consistent lineups. Stability may not be Peacock’s strong suit, but it will gain another summer blockbuster this month with Twisters on November 15. This month, we’re also throwing the spotlight on Peacock’s other recent arrivals, including Die Hard, Ted, and the 2005 remake of King Kong. For younger fans, The Super Mario Bros. Movie and the Harry Potter films are still around, too. You can find these…
