SpaceX is planning to launch its massive Starship rocket on its sixth flight test early next week, a flight that’s expected to see another attempt at securing the first-stage Super Heavy booster as it returns to Earth minutes after deploying the upper-stage Starship spacecraft to orbit. When it comes to picking the best MacBook for you, the eternal debate between MacBook Air and MacBook Pro rages on. Both laptops are at the top of their game right now, and that can sometimes make the decision between the two even trickier to make, especially when you consider the timing. Choosing between options as extreme as the 16-inch MacBook M4 Pro and an M1 MacBook Air isn’t where the problems lie. It’s probably obvious which of those is right for you, indicated by the thousands of dollars separating the two. But Apple knows there’s money to made in…

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you know that a ton of early Black Friday deals have dropped. There are the usual suspects like laptops, electronics, gaming gear, and beyond. But me, I prefer to pick up unusual items during the huge holiday sales. You know exactly what I mean, the kind of stuff that doesn’t usually go on sale any other time. One of those items is a portable generator. Where I live it seems like they rarely go on sale, and when you need them most they’re never in stock. People flock to the stores to buy…

Forget those indoor-friendly pizza ovens. Forget the low-flame and low-smoke options. Me, personally, I want the real deal. That’s why when I came across the Costway outdoor pizza oven I knew I had to share. It comes with a pizza stone, for authentic stone-cooked pizza duh, and a waterproof cover to protect the grill. But here’s the best part: It can fire-cook a 12-inch homemade pizza pie. Oh, yes. Normally $309, it’s on sale today for $140, which saves you $169. That is an incredible deal, let alone for something like this that can handle the fire and brimstone. It’s…

GOG has always been at the heart of retro PC gaming. It has a vast storefront with newer games, but GOG is where you can find DRM-free copies of Beyond Good & Evil or Silent Hill 4: The Room (that’s just some of what’s in my GOG library, but you get the idea). There are a lot of games you could play through GOG that would be difficult to get anywhere else. GOG, owned by CD Projekt Red, is capitalizing on that brand with the GOG Preservation Program, which was announced on Wednesday. Games in this program are called “Good Old…

Amazon is getting serious about home theater sound with its first Dolby Atmos soundbar. Following the company’s release of the $100 2.0-channel Amazon Fire TV Soundbar in 2023, it has a new addition to the family: the Amazon Fire TV Soundbar Plus, which supports a 3.1-channel layout with both Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, for $250. It’s also expandable — you can buy it with a companion wireless subwoofer for $375 or add a set of wireless surround speakers for a 5.1-channel setup for $490. Despite these new sound options, the oddly named Fire TV Soundbar Plus doesn’t actually contain Fire…

True to its titular hedgehog’s ethos, the Sonic series never slows down. After releasing what might be the franchise’s best game in decades, Sonic X Shadow Generations, yet another new game is set to launch this winter. Sonic Rumble will turn the series into a free battle royale game that takes some clear notes from Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout. It’s an elimination game that’s more about clearing platforming minigames and collecting rings than combat. Digital Trends recently went hands-on with Sonic Rumble, playing a few rounds on an iPhone. While it has all the right elements of a free-to-play multiplayer…
