Warhammer Survivors Puts Space Marines In The Vampire Survivors Engine

Vampire Survivors is one of the best indie games of recent memory, distilling the risk/reward formula of roguelikes into a concentrated rush of challenge and achievement. Its success has prompted it to cross over with all sorts of games, like Contra, SaGa, Balatro, and Castlevania, but today we learned of the first fully new game to take the formula and run: Warhammer Survivors. It’s exactly what it sounds like. The standalone game stars characters from Warhammer 40,000 and Age of Sigmar in the classic Vampire Survivors format, complete with hordes of enemies, simple, pixelated graphics, and treasure chests that make you…

Grand Theft Auto VI Dev Rockstar Games Accused Of Union Busting After Layoffs

The Independent Workers’ Union of Great Britain (IWGB) has accused Grand Theft Auto VI developer Rockstar Games of union busting after the company fired between 30 and 40 employees across its various offices in the U.K. and Canada last week, as reported by Bloomberg. The report says all the employees laid off were part of a private union Discord chat group and were either already union members or attempting to organize one at Rockstar. “Rockstar has just carried out one of the most blatant and ruthless acts of union busting in the history of the games industry,” IWGB president Alex Marshall…

Ghost of Yōtei’s Fox Puzzles Think I’m Stupid

I reached 30 hours in Ghost of Yōtei last night. Since picking it back up again after a quick review departure to cover Little Nightmares III for Game Informer, I have been devouring Sucker Punch Productions’ spiritual follow-up to 2020’s Ghost of Tsushima. I spend each work day excited to reach the night because it’s then that I can jump back into this 17th-century recreation of Ezo, known as Hokkaido. The more I play, though, the more I wonder if Sucker Punch thinks I’m stupid.Ghost of Yōtei isn’t an easy game; it’s also not a hard game. It is a…

Freelancers and Contractors Often Search for Tax Guidance

In the modern UK economy, freelancing and contracting have become defining features of a changing workforce. From IT consultants and designers to construction specialists and marketing professionals, an increasing number of people are trading the stability of traditional employment for the autonomy of self-employment. While this independence offers greater control, flexibility, and potential earnings, it also brings with it an unfamiliar and often daunting responsibility: tax management. Unlike employees whose taxes are handled under PAYE, freelancers and contractors must navigate a complex web of obligations, deadlines, and reliefs on their own. It’s no surprise, then, that freelancers and contractors frequently…

The Horror Video Games You Should Play This Weekend – October 31

2025 has been a year of left-field surprises, and this spooky puzzle game is the latest to receive a ton of positive buzz seemingly out of nowhere. Blake Manor is preparing to hold a séance – for what reason, I do not know – and it’s far from the only supernatural occurrence happening during your stay. If you enjoy unraveling mysteries like Return of the Obra Dinn or the Agatha Christie series, The Séance of…

ARC Raiders – Review In Progress

Earlier this year, I called ARC Raiders “the most promising extraction shooter I’ve played,” and after spending many hours with the final release, it seems to have lived up to my expectations. While I’m not ready to share a full review yet, as I still need to sink many more hours into various progression systems and maps, I can confidently say developer Embark Studio’s sophomore release is an impressive foray into the growing subgenre. Launch Trailer | ARC Raiders: The Division helped lay the groundwork for extraction shooters in 2016 with its fantastic Dark Zone, a walled-off area of New York City where…
