OnePlus 15R review: it’s not flashy, but it’s the best phone I’ve ever tested in one key area
OnePlus 15R MSRP $699.99 Released December 2025 “Between its huge battery, bold screen and refined software, the OnePlus 15R is a well-rounded Android phone with a lot to like. It’s a shame it doesn’t undercut its big sibling by enough to make it a real bargain option.” Pros Huge battery Top-spec display Refined software Hardy build and display Cons Should be cheaper Cameras are uninspiring Instant insight If you were interested in buying the OnePlus 15 but would rather spend a little less money for a phone with a few choice downgrades, then the OnePlus 15R is ostensibly for you.…
Back in 2023, Microsoft inked a 10-year deal with Nintendo to bring Xbox games, including Call of Duty, to Nintendo platforms. It appears the launch is drawing close, as a data miner has spotted code related to Nintendo in a recent Call of Duty update. Although the data miner, who goes by Reality on X, does not reveal exactly which Call of Duty game includes the code pointing to a Nintendo launch, they note that the references appear in the PlatformFamily, ClientPlatformToPlatformFamily, and ClientPlatformFamilyToAccountType sections. Reality adds that the inclusion could point to an imminent launch, with Nintendo potentially making…
Samsung doesn’t usually hang its hat on software support in the budget lane, but that’s exactly what it’s doing with the Galaxy A07, which was recently listed on a regional website. If you’re tired of buying a cheap phone that feels old fast, the Galaxy A07 six OS updates promise is the detail worth paying attention to. Six major Android upgrades can keep features, app compatibility, and security protections moving forward for years. That won’t make the phone faster overnight, but it can keep it safer and less frustrating to live with as everything else around it changes. The rest…
A technology expert has identified five everyday gadgets found in many homes that could be sold quickly to help cover expenses during the post-Christmas January squeeze. Sam Wilson, Director at Gadget GoGo, says households across the UK are unknowingly storing hundreds of pounds’ worth of unused tech at a time when budgets are often at their tightest. The findings follow new research showing the average Briton will exhaust their disposable income by 21 January – the earliest point in five years. Around one in ten people are expected to depend on credit cards or overdrafts to make it through to…
An OpenAI ear wearable rumor just got a lot more concrete, at least on paper. Smart Pikachu, a supply chain-focused leaker, claims OpenAI has a portable audio product in development that’s meant to live on your ear, not in your pocket. The same posts attach the codename Sweetpea to the project and describe a behind-the-ear setup where most of the hardware sits out of sight. Smaller parts are said to detach, which reads less like standard earbuds and more like a wearable you keep on for longer stretches. OpenAI hasn’t confirmed the hardware, and the basics that matter most are…
Anthropic has announced a new tool that brings Claude Code’s advanced capabilities to less tech-savvy users, letting them perform various actions without writing a single line of code. Dubbed Cowork, the tool can access folders on a user’s computer and read, modify, or delete files on their behalf. Claude Cowork can also spin up new projects using information from the folder, enabling tasks like generating reports based on a user’s notes. Anthropic says the tool can even be used for organizing old receipts and creating an expense-tracking spreadsheet, or cleaning up a messy downloads folder. Cowork can also utilize Claude’s…
Anthropic just stepped into the healthcare AI space with the launch of Claude for Healthcare, a new suite of tools designed for providers, payers, and patients. Following in the footsteps of OpenAI’s ChatGPT Health, Claude for Healthcare aims to bring AI safely into medical contexts, helping users access and understand their health information more effectively. As part of this push, Anthropic is introducing new integrations that let users connect their health data to Claude. In the US, subscribers on the Claude Pro and Max plans can give the AI assistant secure access to lab results and health records, and unlock…
The consumer tech industry is facing an ongoing memory crisis. Due to rising demand from enterprise customers (for building AI data centers), memory makers are directing much of their inventory to these clients, leaving little for consumer-centric product manufacturers. This has led to a rise in price (or a reduction in the total memory) on PCs and smartphones. In the near future, the memory shortage is also said to impact television sets, tablets, smartwatches, and pretty much every other device that uses RAM. The situation, according to Micron’s VP of Marketing, Mobile and Client Business Unit, Christopher Moore, might not…
One of the biggest announcements of the tech world — and between two of the biggest tech companies on the planet — was condensed in a brief joint statement with fewer than a hundred words. Apple announced that Gemini will be powering the rebirth of Siri assistant, and the framework that will power the AI software experiences on iPhones and Macs. “These models will help power future Apple Intelligence features, including a more personalized Siri coming this year,” the company said. This is a huge win for Google, great news for Apple device users, and a self-admission that Apple couldn’t…
We have all been there. You feel a weird pain in your side or get a confusing test result back from the doctor, and the first thing you do is open Google. You aren’t looking for a medical degree; you just want a quick answer to “am I okay?” But recently, Google had to pump the brakes on its AI search summaries because, as it turns out, asking a robot for medical advice might actually be dangerous. Google quietly scrubbed a bunch of AI-generated health summaries from its search results after an investigation revealed they were giving out inaccurate and…
