Invincible VS’ roster of playable Viltrumites has expanded with the additions of Anissa and Lucan. Acting as the game’s 12th and 13th characters, the pair bring even more brutality to an already hyperviolent tag team fighter.Like fellow Viltrumites Omni-Man and Thula, Anissa and Lucan are powerhouses whose immense strength is matched only by their ferocity. Both pummel opponents in their own unique and referential ways, from Anissa “educating” adversaries by slapping them senseless or Lucan breaking spines over his knee like an extraterrestrial Bane. Check them out in action in the trailer below. Anissa and Lucan join an announced roster of…
Google introduced a handy Gemini-powered feature in Gmail last year that helps you schedule meetings. Appropriately named Help me schedule, the feature scans your calendar and the email you’re replying to, then suggests meeting times that fit your schedule. It lets you offer a few options with a click, and once the recipient picks a time, the event automatically appears in both calendars. It’s a small but useful feature that has already saved users from countless back-and-forth emails. Now, Google is bringing a similar scheduling feature to Google Calendar. According to a recent post on the Workspace Updates blog, Gemini…
Nearly 30 years ago, a rookie cop named Leon S. Kennedy exited a vehicle and stumbled into a labyrinthine police department within Raccoon City, a metropolis in the process of being overrun by a horrific virus. In the present day, I sit within an unassuming office building in Los Angeles, watching a much older Leon do almost the same thing in Resident Evil Requiem. His hair’s longer, his sculpted jaw shaded by the remnants of an early morning shave, his jacket more stylish; he exits not a police car, but a custom Porsche this time around, and once more stumbles…
Desktop deals usually fall into two buckets: cheap machines that need upgrades right away, or pricey rigs that feel like overkill. This one lands in the middle in a way that makes sense. The HP OMEN 16L gaming desktop is $999.99, saving you $250 off the $1,249.99 compared value. If you want a modern gaming PC that’s ready for 1080p (and plenty of 1440p) without turning into a “project,” this is a strong buy at the current price. What you’re getting This configuration checks the boxes that matter for a balanced gaming build: Intel Core i5-14400F 16GB DDR5 memory NVIDIA…
During this weekend’s Dragon Ball Genkidamatsuri event, Bandai Namco revealed a cryptic trailer announcing the next Dragon Ball game. Known only as Age 1000, it’s slated to launch next year. The mysterious trailer focuses on a new, original character designed by the late Dragon Ball creator, Akira Toriyama. The white-haired youth’s outfit and color scheme are somewhat reminiscent of Gohan’s Great Saiyan costume, and it interestingly bears the Capsule Corp name. The trailer shows the character effortlessly battling masked goons in a seemingly digital simulation, then ends with him transforming into a Super Saiyan. And of course, it wouldn’t be a…
The best iPad deals aren’t the flashy ones. They’re the ones that land on the model people actually use every day for years: streaming, reading, email, schoolwork, travel, and casual creativity. The 11-inch iPad with the A16 chip and 128GB of storage is $299.00, saving you $50 off the $349.00 compared value. It’s not a massive percentage drop, but it’s the kind of price that makes this iPad feel like an easy “yes” if you’ve been waiting for the right moment. What you’re getting This is Apple’s 11-inch iPad with an A16 chip, Wi-Fi, and 128GB of storage. The 11-inch…
This year is poised to deliver an incredible slate of nerdy entertainment, and one of the first examples of that is The Super Mario Galaxy Movie. The follow-up to 2023’s Super Mario Bros. Movie, which grossed more than $1.3 billion at the box office, The Super Mario Galaxy Movie looks to dramatically expand the scope by not only bringing our beloved heroes to space, but also by introducing several beloved characters to this cinematic continuity. The first trailer gave us looks at Rosalina (voiced by Brie Larson) and Bowser Jr. (voiced by Bennie Safdie), and the second trailer finally paid off…
The US National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has launched an investigation into Waymo following multiple reports of its self-driving robotaxis illegally passing stopped school buses in Austin, Texas. At least 19 such incidents have been reported since the start of the school year, with Waymo vehicles failing to obey state traffic laws meant to protect children getting on and off buses. According to Reuters, these incidents occurred even after Waymo recalled more than 3,000 vehicles in December last year to update the software that caused the vehicles to drive past stopped school buses. This reportedly prompted the NTSB to launch…
Resident Evil Requiem Director Sets The Record Straight: ‘This Isn’t An Open World Game’
Resident Evil Requiem is right around the corner, launching next month on February 27 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch 2, and PC. Ahead of that, Game Informer went hands-on with the horror game for three hours, and you can read that preview here. However, as part of this preview, I interviewed Requiem director Koshi Nakanishi about what I had played. I’ll be publishing a full Q/A of that interview later today, but curiously, Nakanishi closed out our interview asking to address something I didn’t specifically talk about: the game’s world and exploration, specifically as it relates to rumors of…
Apple’s new AirTag is a rare kind of upgrade, it doesn’t ask you to pay more, it just tries to help you find your stuff faster. The biggest changes target the two moments that waste time: When your phone knows the tag is nearby but can’t guide you soon enough, and when you can’t hear it over everyday noise. Apple says the updated tracker improves both its basic locating range and its Precision Finding guidance, and it adds a louder speaker with a new chime. Privacy protections remain part of the pitch, with Apple framing AirTag as an object tracker…
