Samsung’s latest flagship chipset, the Exynos 2600, promises significant performance and efficiency improvements, backed by a new 10-core CPU and the Xclipse 960 GPU. It also includes a new NPU to enhance AI performance, which will reportedly benefit from optimizations made in partnership with Nota AI.

According to ETNews, Samsung joined hands with Nota AI, a South Korean company specializing in AI model optimization, to enhance the Exynos 2600’s on-device AI capabilities. Using Nota AI’s Netspresso platform, which can reduce the size of AI models by up to 90% without sacrificing accuracy, Samsung plans to run large-scale generative AI models directly on Exynos 2600 devices without an active internet connection.

Galaxy S26 series may deliver smarter, faster on-device AI

Galaxy S26 buyers will likely be among the first to reap the benefits of this partnership. However, since Samsung is rumored to offer the devices with Qualcomm Snapdragon chips in some markets, on-device AI performance on the lineup may vary depending on the region. This means that users in markets receiving the Exynos 2600 version could experience faster, more capable AI features compared to the Snapdragon variants.

Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy S26 series towards the end of next month. The company will likely shed more light on the AI performance improvements during the launch event, including how the Exynos 2600’s NPU and Nota AI’s optimizations translate to real-world benefits on the devices.

The company, once again, appears to be betting big on AI features to carry its upcoming flagship lineup. Recent reports suggest that the devices may not bring much in terms of hardware improvements, but could introduce several new AI capabilities, including a big upgrade for Samsung’s Bixby voice assistant powered by Perplexity.
