Samsung is gearing up to reveal the Galaxy Watch 9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 at its July event, along with its next-generation foldable smartphones, and a fresh batch of leaks from @GalaxyTechie on X (via 9to5Google) has just handed us a clearer picture of both.
Samsung fans hoping for a Classic with a rotating bezel this year might be in for disappointment, but those eyeing the regular or Ultra versions could be in for a surprise.
So what exactly did the new leak reveal?
Per the X post, the Galaxy Watch 9 lineup might not include a Classic variant, walking back an earlier May tip suggesting it was in the works (via Android Authority). That one stings a little, given how popular the rotating bezel has become over the years.
The Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, meanwhile, is shaping up to look noticeably different from its predecessor. It could feature a boxier shape, thinner bezels, and a subtler side button that trades its all-orange design for an orange outline.
It is also expected to ship with a larger battery and run on the purported Snapdragon Wear Elite chipset. Combined, these updates could push the device’s battery life beyond the two-day mark.
The tipster also shared a couple of renders showcasing Samsung’s redesigned Health app, along with what appears to be a new watchface picker, giving the Watch 9 lineup a fresh look inside to match what the outside will be.
What about colors?
New color options have also leaked, though it’s unclear whether they apply to the Galaxy Watch 9, the Ultra 2, or both.
The options spotted are Black, Silver, and Beige. I wouldn’t call Beige entirely new for Samsung, though, as the Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch 6 already came in cream and beige finishes.
Samsung’s Galaxy Watch shipments dropped 28% in early 2026, making this a pressured year for the lineup (via Counterpoint).
