Motorola razr — $350 $700 50% Off
When our reviewer Andy Boxall got his hands on the Motorola Razr, he felt that “. . . you also won’t be bothered by crushingly short battery life or be upset by a rubbish camera. It’s reliable, good-looking, and fun.” That’s great for one of the cheapest foldable phones you’ll find out there, at least with this significant 50% off discount that brings it down to just $350.

While our Google Pixel 8a review goes into all the details, you should know that you’re stilling getting access to Magic Eraser and Magic Editor in the camera app. As our reviewer stated, this phone is an “excellent value thanks to its great software, a vibrant and exciting camera, the latest AI smarts, and a pretty design.” Get it while its just $379.
Google Pixel 8 — $509 $759 33% Off
Our reviewer gave only glowing praise for the Google Pixel 8: “Why would you want to buy the Google Pixel 8? The more appropriate question is why wouldn’t you want the Pixel 8? It’s more compact, lighter, and better looking than ever before.” Not only does it have a 6.2-inch screen that runs a great 1080 x 2400 resolution, it also has a 120Hz refresh rate and 256GB of storage, as well as generous 33% discount from Amazon.
Samsung Galaxy S24 — $720 $800 10% Off
If you want the latest flagship phone from Samsung, the Samsung S24 is a solid option, and when our reviewer Christine Romero-Chan got her hands on it, she said that “Even though the Galaxy S24 is the baby of the S24 lineup, it’s still packed with power.” While it only has an $80 discount, it comes with the newest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip and a solid 6.2-inch screen running a 2340 x 1080 resolution on an AMOLED screen, so absolutely worth grabbing.
OnePlus Open — $1,300 $1,700 24% Off
With a substantial $400 discount, this OnePlus Open is a great option for a foldable phone, and if you want something lighter, our reviewer, Christine Romero-Chan, found that “If you’ve been bothered by the heavy weight of foldable in general, the OnePlus Open may change your mind.” Even though it’s quite lightweight, it still manages to fit 512GB of storage, an 11.7-inch internal display, and a 32-megapixel front-facing camera.

How to choose a phone on Prime Day
You likely want one of the best phones of the year, but it’s instantly important to think about your budget, especially when it comes to something Android based as these tend to be more affordable. Related to that — do you have a preference between Android or Apple? That’s a huge part of the buying process these days. If you know what you prefer, read up on the best Android phones or the best iPhones and react accordingly.
From there, also think about how you plan on using your phone. Do you want a great screen for watching movies on the move? Do you love taking plenty of photos? The latter means something like the Samsung Galaxy S24 range or the latest iPhones. iPhones don’t have upgradeable storage while Android phones do, so think about that when going for lower storage to save the most cash. If you plan on owning your phone for a while to come, storage needs can grow and you don’t want to keep running out of room. Future-proof and aim high.
How we chose these phone Prime Day deals
We know our way around phones. Our team has spent thousands of hours reviewing smartphones. We’ve covered pretty much every brand you can imagine so we know what to recommend. Alongside that, we spend our days seeking out awesome deals so we know how to combine the two. We only ever feature phone deals that we would recommend to our friends or family and that we’d buy ourselves.
That means we won’t feature inferior phones that are simply too old to be worth it, unless they’re at an incredible discount. After all, a good deal is only a good deal if it’s something that’s actually worth owning. A big discount isn’t automatically worth it. We appreciate that and keep an eye on if the price reflects the quality of the item. That and our buying advice means you can trust in whatever you check out from this page, and we update the deals available regularly.
