The upcoming OnePlus 15R will pack a monster 7,400mAh battery, which should ease any battery anxiety you have, especially if the OnePlus 15‘s excellent performance is anything to go by.

OnePlus has confirmed the mega battery capacity for its upcoming affordable flagship model, which is set to bring a number of top-tier features from its pricier sibling to a more accessible price point.

The phone will also feature 80W SuperVOOC charging, which should allow you to recharge it pretty quickly, while other features include a 165Hz 1.5K AMOLED display with 450 pixels per inch and variable brightness from 1800 nits all the way down to 2 nits, and even 1 nit when the Reduce White Point mode activated.

It’ll be powered by Qualcomm’s high-end Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip, which is just below the Elite chip found in the 15.

True two-day battery life

I’ve been using the OnePlus 15 for weeks now, and its battery life has seriously impressed me. As I write this article, I have 40% of battery life remaining, and it’s been off charge for one day and 14 hours – two day battery life is actually a thing, and you don’t need to limit your usage to achieve it.

Why am I sharing this? Well, the power pack inside the 15 is 7,300mAh, while the OnePlus 15R is going to boast an even bigger battery at 7,400mAh.

That’s a good sign then for those looking for a phone with a decent display and performance, but who also want long battery life and a lower price tag.

We also know what the phone will look like, as OnePlus hasn’t been shy when it comes to showing off the 15R, after it was officially named last month.

The OnePlus 15R will launch on December 17 alongside the Pad Go 2 and Watch Lite, where we’ll find out all there is to know about the handset. Both the 15R and Pad Go 2 will be available in the US.

OnePlus 15 finally available to pre-order

If you’re after a true flagship phone though, the OnePlus 15 is now finally available to pre-order in the US. The 16GB RAM + 512GB configuration will set you back $999.99. There’s also a 12GB+256GB model, but that’s not currently available for pre-order in the US.

The OnePlus 15 has been available in other markets around the world for weeks, but its US availability has been delayed.
