In case you missed it, MythForce, the co-op action RPG inspired by ‘80s Saturday morning cartoons, got its biggest update since launching in September 2023. Update 1.2 arrived last Thursday and introduced a slew of additions to create what developer Beamdog describes as “the definitive version of the game.”
Update 1.2 adds three classes to MythForce’s four playable heroes, and each features newly added skill trees to allow more flexible loadouts to play how you want. Progression has been updated to let players earn XP and level up after completing dungeon runs.
New elemental combos let players combine fire, ice, and lightning spells to create explosive synergy attacks. Fresh encounter objectives add more variety to dungeon runs, such as Destroy the Crystals and Discharge the Relic. Console performance has been refined to enable deeper co-op interactions, as well as enhanced solo gameplay.
Update 1.2 is now available for the PlayStation, Xbox, and PC versions of MythForce. The Switch version is currently being tested by Nintendo and should be available soon.
