How to Choose a Nintendo Switch Deal on Black Friday

When the Nintendo Switch originally came out, there weren’t a lot of options; in fact, there wasn’t even an OLED model that you could buy with the upgraded screen. Nowadays, there’s been a boom in games and accessories, so there are a ton of options out there. When it comes to the Nintendo Switch itself, if you’re mostly going to be playing with it docked, then you should get the more affordable base model, but if you do plan to use it as a handheld console more, then the higher cost of the OLED model is really worth it.

When it comes to games, if you’re looking to not spend too much, then you can’t go wrong with the first-party Nintendo games like Mariokart 8 Deluxe, Super Smash Bros, Metroid Dread, and so forth, so it’s worth looking at those to see which you like. As for accessories, a lot of that will depend on the sort of games you play, but it is worth grabbing a “full” controller, either from Nintendo or a 3rd-party seller, since the Joy-Cons can be a bit difficult to use, especially for longer periods. There are also a couple of fun accessories that let you put the Joy-Cons inside them and use them that way, such as the wheel accessory, which is a lot of fun for racing games.

How We Chose These Nintendo Switch Black Friday Deals

Unfortunately, there aren’t a ton of great Nintendo Switch deals floating around these days, which means that we mostly have to rely on finding great deals for games and accessories. That said, there are some refurbished Nintendo Switch deals that we may add or remove based on how good we thing the deal is and whether it’s worth the offer. Other than that, we do our best to include a good selection of games and accessories so you can pick and match what works for your favorite type of gaming.

We also rely on our expertise as deal hunters and our tools to ensure you’re getting the best deal for the money you’re putting in. That way, you know that you’re buying with confidence and you won’t regret it.
